John Walker

I have been designing and developing software as a full time occupation since 1981. Now an IT Director, I am still the acting Software Development Manager. I spend my time now mostly doing requirements gathering, writing specification, Project Management, testing programmer’s work and overseeing implementations. I also oversee Infrastucture projects, such as Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, Storage, etc.. I am the SQL Server DBA and work on performance tuning as well as all schema changes. I have supervised other developers since 1985. I pride myself on getting to know the business and the processes in a company, then developing solutions that fulfill needs in the enterprise. I offer up ideas to management to eliminate errors and reduce cost.
